Premix question

I just purchased a 2002 Suzuki RM 250. The last 2 stroke I had was a 99 KTM 250 SX. I used Motul oil at 50:1, as suggested by the dealer. The bike spun a main bearing after 2 years of use ( It had seen a lot of use) and was an EXPENSIVE! rebuild. I am just curious what everyone else might be using. I am thinking Motul at 40:1 for this bike. Any thoughts?

I run 32.1. maxima semi synthetic. I have a 01 kx250and it has been beat still on the fisrt piston.
