Push Rod Play?

I have a 99 cr250 wich I just removed the top end. The piston was a little loose in the cylnder but the cylnder is flawless.
My question is the push rod has a little play from left to right. Is this normal? If so how much play is normal?
I definatly don't want to crack open the case :bang:

By "Push Rod" I assume you mean the crank rod. A little left or right play is o.k. You need to be concerned about vertical play. There should be absolutely positively no up and down play on the crank rod. If their is up and down play, it's time for a crank rebuild or new crank assembly.
