I would like to know the same thing. I think the governor is built intothe electronic ignition and the spark box would need to be replaced with a really old one. I think changing the jets will give us a lot more top end.

I have heard there is another way to increase the power in the exhaust system there is a reducer washer. i am going to do a tear down today. i will let you know.

no reducer

took the whole exhaust system off and there is no reducer. Must be the ignition box.

I just bought my son a pw80 and if you have the reducer installed it will be where the exhaust attaches to the head and it's merely a washer with a smaller diameter hole in it.

Pretty much. Some dealers sell the bike without the restirctor. To check, it the two 10mm bolts at the bottom, you don't have to completely remove them, just loosen them a bunch and push the exhaust forward. It is sometimes easier to completely remove the screws.
