I was wondering if I can use a stock 03 YZ250 cylinder on my 02 YZ250? Yamaha's microfiche says they are different but I am assuming that there is just slight porting and/or port timing between the two, as I know the Powervalves, Reed Valve, Base Gasket, Piston, and Rod are all common parts between the two. The cylinder head for the 03 also has a different part number and I was wondering if this is a case of different CC's between the two heads? Also, If I used the 03 cylinder with the 02 head would I run into any problems? (i.e. improper deck/squish height/clearance, too low/high compression).
By the way Eric, the YZ144 big bore you built for me last year is simply awesome!!!! :)
