I'm looking at getting a new(er) bike and I'm also really interested in doing some harescrambles in the T class next year (womens, solo, open age). It states that the largest motor allowed is a 150cc 4-stroke or 105 2-stroke. However, when I went to the Battle Creek hare scramble at the end of the year, all the ladies were on 230F's...is this legal now? Or is it just kinda being let in? I am contemplating a 230F for my next bike.

Any help would be appreciated...Thanks!

As i understand it you cant ride a 230 in the class. The best thing you could do is contact BJ tomanack and see what he say about it

I'm not sure of the rules, your size, or budget, but I'd seriously consider NOT getting a 230F. They are heavy, underpowered, and poorly suspended for their size.

If the rule allows up to 150cc 4-strokes, and you are serious about racing, check out the new Honda CRF150R. It's about the same size as your KX-100, so it may be too small.

Yep been on a 150 big wheel...its the same size as my KX unfortunately. I was hoping it would solve all my bike issues LOL. I'm only 5'3" with like a 28" inseam. I can handle a big bike on the track, but not when I get in trails and tight single track. I'm convinced I'm cursed.

I am contemplating riding harescrambles next year as well. My husband tells me the only way to get better is to race many different types of terrain and events. I ride an XR 250. Do I have any options for the afternoon class? Or do I need to ride the afternoon Z class? Where does a woman fit in the afternoon schedule?

Are the rules not followed, since there is no woman's class to ride when larger bike are allowed (3hour/2hour race)?

I would like to know what is allowed and when.

What are other women doing, legally, who ride larger cc bikes?
