quick help can i put 99 cylinder on 98 cr250r?

my cylinder is too trashed to reuse im wondering if it would be better to get a new 99 cylinder instead of 98 because i heard the 98s were kinda low on bottom end power but they fixed it abit in 99

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but if the reason you want a 99 cylinder is for bottom end your not going to get it, bc the cylinder is all top end, Im sure the cylinder will work but if I were you I would send my old cylinder to eric gorr for a big bore kit and if its more bottom you want then have him port for that, its probably around 450 for everything you need, bore,replate,gaskets,wiseco piston,and porting,
