Ricky Carmichael's back in the groove! Branden Jesseman scores first in the east!

250 Main: Ricky Carmichael won his fourth 250 Main event of the season, and extended his series points lead. Ezra Lusk finished in the runner-up position to RC. Tim Ferry rounded out the top three on the four-stroke YZ 450.

NOTES: Chad Reed was fast. He won his heat. He was leading the main until he fell. And then he fell again. But Chad kept charging, and made something out of nothing to garner sixth place and the 15 points that go with it. Mike LaRocco tried to go tonight in his heat, but his shoulder was too sore to compete. Stephane Roncada has broken his tibia and fibula (leg) in a practice crash earlier today. Seb Tortelli had ACL replacement surgery by Dr. Murphy of Oasis Medical in San Diego this week. Weird fact: The donor of Seb's ligament died in a motorcycle accident.

125 East Main: Branden Jesseman had complete command of the race, leading all 15 laps. Brock Sellards finished second, and Michael Byrne overcame a poor start to claim third.

NOTES: Fans in Minnesota are a tough lot. Tonight's temperature? Minus 4 Fahrenheit (Minus 20 Celsius). Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, that is cold! Good thing the Metrodome is an indoor venue!
