hi there. so i only just noticed that my bars/forks when turned, were hitting the edge of the radiator cap. it is an aftermarket radiator but was told it was bad so im wondering, are the radiator caps interchangeable....and would i be able to just change radiator caps/use my old stock radiator cap that doesn't have the round edges, on these aftermarket radiators? or are the caps specific to the radiators? the stock cap i have does fit on and close but im just wondering if it's ok to run the bike with that stock cap on the radiator as it's not the cap that came with the radiator.

the cap as seen in the picture is at full closed position, can't re-maneuver the cap in a different direction as that direction/position is how it sits and closes.

As long as the stock cap fits and is the same pressure rating, it should be fine. I wouldn't feel bad about cutting that tab off the existing one, either, as long as it doesn't let the cap warp/twist and leak.

That one is rated at 1.1 atmospheres or 16.1 psi.
