Hey fellas,
I am new to the ktm world.....just purchased a 2000 EXC 250.
It seems real nice so far. It has stock radiator shrouds on it , but during my first hour long ride, the corner of the shroud right near the seat , caught my boot , on both sides of the bike.
Do any of you old hands , know an easy way to fix this problem ????
I don't want to cut the point off , and don't really want to buy new plastic either .

thanks
donnie

You can trim the corner of your shroud to make it lay flat to the tank. Then use double-sided foam tape to hold the shroud to the tank.

I always used duct tape...wasn't pretty, but neither was the rest of the bike. KTM fixed this problem (in '02, I think) with the extra shroud bolts on the sides of the tank.

Thanks alot , guys.
I'll see what tape does and go from there.
I looked at the 99 model and it does not have the same set-up and the 01 model is similar to what the 02's&03's look like.
So it looks like the way the 00 is , was not the way to go as far as the shrouds go.

see ya

My boots always caught on my 98 so I ended up trimming. On my 01 I've never had a problem
