To sum it up;

1) we've got RC's mechanic blabbing about it? Surely Goose isn't an idiot.
2) we've got an "AMA official" / mag editor blabbing about it on DRN? Fisrt, I doubt a AMA board of directors member would be spreading such stories (true or not) and second, why only on DRN? Seems to me an employee of Cycle World would bust the story if it was real, lol.

You decide.

Easy to understand why a Cycleworld employee would post here...
1) deniability...doesn't have the Cycleworld "logo" therefore accountability
2) Cycleworld's website has more of raod racing/road bike following so less people care there
3) Cycleworld's general news and gossip forum is jam packed with political propaganda from hired online specialists like that "torquemonster" (one of many names) who are in fact doing nothing but finding forums and chat sites to flood the message they want so no other discussion can take place. Its an election year....We don't see that here. Is it because this place is actually moderated????

Absolutely no way I'm buying this particular story. However, RC will do ANYTHING to win, which includes making it perfectly clear to the manufacturers, agents, lawyers and fans that HE will be the one to control and use 'entities' to win. How else do you explain him coming out with the Suzuki deal after SX? Hype to bring him back into the center of things? Maybe. Probably, though, a ploy to throw mud on HRC (what else could it be?) thereby gaining leverage, curiosity and possibly longing/jealousy as he sets forth whipping everyone's ass badly.

The other explanation for these recent rumors--perhaps Bubba told "HoardRicky'sContract" to stuff it up their ass...now they're sweating and have no one. This process gets initiated, but is nowhere even started. Pit rumors start, etc.

It'll happen if RC thinks he needs to ride a Honda to win. He'll give every last dime he's got to do it.

Shouldn't this be in the womens forum? Chicks dig soap operas!

Um no, don't think so. I personally can not stand watching soap operas. They don't even make any sense.

I think this thread is a fishing expedition. And even if Honda had found a way to keep RC you would not be hearing it from RC's mechanic. Until HRC announces it through their PR department, RC will be riding for Suzuki.

I just wouldn't assume anything.

Because everyone knows when you assume, then put a 'cons' in place of the 'ass', then move the 'ass' to the end, you 'consume ass'. Or you could scratch the whole 'cons' thing, change the 'e' to an 'a's' and you've got 'uma's ass'.

Hmmm... no clear winner here.

hey there NCPaulD, get back in here and tell us how dumb we all are, cuz here's a quote from Rich's favorite, MXA online (speaking about MC's alleged comeback:
The Leprechaun said
"I don’t know why he’s coming back. Obviously he thinks he’ll be able to do well or he wouldn’t be coming back. I don’t know. I don’t think I would want to come back. I know it’s a while before I’m not going to race anymore hopefully, but it seems like you’d want to stay retired. I’ll support him in anything he does. If he wants to come back then I hope he comes back and does well. If he doesn’t want to race then I’ll also be supportive of that also. Hopefully if he races everything will be okay and he doesn’t hurt himself and it will be a good return. I’ll be racing two-stroke in supercross and the four-stroke outdoors. That’s the plan for right now. I’m going to take advantage of the factory deal, and there’s a lot of method in Suzuki’s madness. They have a really good two-stroke which is important to me because I’ve been fighting that problem the last couple of years. I feel that the two-stroke still has the upper hand in supercross and Suzuki has one of the best two-strokes out there, if not the best. That definitely helped my decision. It’s good for the sport if McGrath comes back. I don’t think he’s going to win, though. If he has fun doing it and he feels like he can do well then good for him. I’m sure he has a lot of money to race so why not? Jeremy was at his best in the 90’s, and he’s already done so much. The question I’m asking myself is, "What does he have to prove?" But if it’s all for the fun and because he misses it, then fine. I do think it’s going to be tough for him."

Stick that in your secret source and smoke it, Mr, Dean.

Didn't I say that RC and Suzuki would take advantage of a full works RMZ450?

and havent i said for years that Suzuki makes the best 2 stroke?

Funny how he never mentioned that when he was riding the CR250.

Hmmm, thats a pretty safe statement. I would even go as far as to say that its in the top five! And again, when he was riding the Honda 2 stroke, he said IT was the best.

I think he had serious problems with setup on the CR, especially in the whoops. I can't see honda giving him a bad engine though, but I will never forget the race at unadilla last year when he follow windham. It looked like kevins bike was outpulling his.

No, what's incredible is that when they raced a 500 class back in the 80's the riders were asking their mechanics to de-tune their 60 H.P. beasts! To ride a bike with that kind of peak power on a SX track takes some serious technique!
