Hey anyone out there have a big bore YZ250? I have to replace my cylinder on my 1999 YZ 250 and was looking at going with a big bore kit from Eric Gorr from forward motion. I was just wondering what problems you ran into and what diffrence it made from stock? I am looking at the 265cc kit. Thanks for any and all info.

I did the 265 kit in my 98, along with the better, all-around porting (Mo-better). It moved the power lower, which I really was hoping it would do. I have about 5-6 months on the new motor, and really like the kit. Other than possible turn-around time, I have no reservations reccommending the kit.

Cool, thanks Loren. Did you experience any problems like having to re-jet or anything? Any over heating problems? What did it do to your powerband versus what it was before you sent it in?
