On some hard landings, My 2001 CR250 is actually bouncing off the ground(both wheels). It feels like its primarily being caused by the rear shock. Should I go harder or softer? And how?

Go harder on the shock rebound by a couple of clicks at a time,The rebound adjuster is the one inbetween the linkage. It turns clockwise to increase damping.

MX Mac,
Be careful to note the accleration charachteristics though. You want to find a happy medium betwen bounce and traction.

How much do you weigh? It sounds like your bike may be a little soft also and blows through the stroke when you land & takes a hop. Sounds like you should stiffen & slow it a little
