I was wondering if I can get this done to my forks. Its a 83 XR200r. They leak oil all the time even with new seals in it. How much will this run for?
Thanks!

Try polishing the fork tubes with Crocus cloth first. It will stop the leakage. Re-chromed tubes would cost more than the bike is worth :)

Thanks for your reply.

That might not me enough. If I put oil in them, then go riding for about an hour or two there is hardly any oil left in them. I mean they leak bad!! What else could I do?

Yes definetly go the 2nd hand route, forks from 81 thru 88 should work easy enough. the 90 or newer forks won't work too short in length. Back then the XR200R was still considered a race bike, you do have a 200R not just the 200? easy way to tell is the 200R had a single shock the 200 had dual shocks. try all the salavage yards (tons online) if all else fails lurk ebay.....blah

Yes it is a 200R...it says right on the headset of the frame (behind the forks)
would they all have about the same suspension travel?
