I just got my 2004 yzf250 back together after checking the valve clearance, and when i started it up(at night) and let it idle for about 1-2 minutes the titanium header pipe started to turn fairly bright red. I m guessing its because there is no air flowing through the radiator, and it was pitch black so it showed up good. But is this normal???????? Thanks

I know it's normal on the bigger CRF's and YZF's, but I'm not sure I've ever heard of it happening on a 250F. Since you started it up at night it would be much easier to see the glow than it would during the day.
