Hello Ive been reading all the power vave post and still I cant get the valve out of the cyl. to clean it I'm install a new piston also. I have the cyl on the work bench the valve shaft is out also all the attaching hardwear under the top cover. Shouldn't the valve and the other slide pull straight out. It seems they bind. On a 99 kx 250. thanks

Do you run a premix with a power valve formula like H1R? Just wonder if it really helps with keeping the power valve cleaner. I used to run Belray H1R at 40:1 then I switched back to honda full synthetic. I also have a 125 and a quad racer. I just run them all at 32:1. It makes my life a little easier.

For those of you guys cleaning out the carbon fouling you should try "carbon cutter".

It works really well, I use it for my AR15 rifle lol and carbon gets on the bolt and bolt carrier and is impossible to clean with regular degreaser etc.

Point being though, I bet it would work just as well for a charred power valve
