Hi, just curious if any of you guys have any advice on repairing a dented expansion chamber. I found some instructions somewhere on the net about blocking one end using compressed air in the pipe and a heat gun so that the dents slowly push back out...... but i cannot find them again, these dents are quite large but i dont have the $$ for a new one yet. If no one has any tips/instructions on how to do this, does anyone know of any bike shops or pipe repair places near Sydney Aust.
Any help will be greatly appreciated,
regards, craig

Go to a auto body shop and have them pull the dents. Most have a tool that spot welds little tabs that a slide hammer will grip. Anybody who is a decent bodyman should be able to clean up your pipe dings in about 15 minutes. Go on a friday late afternoon and take a six or twelve pack with you and you may be able to get it done for the price of that.
