After two years of hard racing andriding of my 99 300 EXC, i have worn the teeth on my footpegs semi smooth. The last water crossing (which are far & few between here in the desert) was a real adventure!

Has any one sharpenened the stockers with a 4" grinder?

How about good replacement units?

I even thought of taking them to my neighborhood welder and having beads welded to each tooth.

Any great ideas out there?

Footpeg sharpening

I am on my second riding season on my KTM 200exc. Before my last race I sharpened my footpegs with a file. It really didn't take very long. I thing it may be hard to get into the crevises with a 4" grinder. Sharpening is a lot cheaper than replacing if you have any teeth left.

IT TAKES ABOUT 20 MINUTES TO SHARPEN THEM UP AFTER YOU DO IT THE FIRST TIME
I TOUCH MINE UP EVERY 2/3 MONTHS AND ALWAYS HAVE
I USE A GOOD HIGH QUALITY METAL FILE OF SMALLER SIZE
TRIANGLE SHAPED

You can weld a bead onto the pegs after they are well worn. Its pretty easy to grind new teeth in the bead, and it works well, but it doesn't look too good.
