Resets? What resets? I hear there were a few in the second half, but I was so far behind I never bothered. I houred out in the last part of the last back-to-back section. Muddy, rutty, rooty, up, down, sideways all day long. It was fun, but a different kind of fun ;)

Slimy and rooty indeed. Some of those off camber trails across face of a hill had a high pucker factor because of all those long mud-slick roots just waiting to yank your front tire out from under. Woodsrider broke his bike first and put the jinx on our row. We all DNF’ed. I was doing well until a flat front tire about 10 miles after the gas stop, Funny thing about that flat, it took me a long time to twig to what was going on. I just thought the inability to hold a line and the wobbly feel was because of my own exhaustion (and the mud). :silly:
