Nice little blurb about Neil Keen written by Kevin Cameron

Part of the original “BSA Wrecking Crew,” AMA national number 10 was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2000.

Neil was one of my early hero's. He was one of the very few from back East that could ride and win at Ascot Park. Super neat guy, always helping and offering advice to younger riders. RIP Peaches.:(

I fgured you two would have crossed pathes along the way. It's good to hear he was as good a guy as he was portrayed in the media of the time.

Peaches was one of his many nicknames Mike. I believe he originally came from Georgia. As you probably know, everything in Georgia is named after a peach. An interesting fact, Neil passed away on Gary Nixon's birthday. Gary was another one of my heros.
Rich. He was as good as they say. He was a mentor to many young riders and was almost unbeatable on short tracks.

Thanks Gomer, that's a great article. Reading it makes me want to dig out some of my old pictures from Santa Fe Speedway, and really makes me miss spending summer nights out there.
