rm 250 oil

I just bought a 2001 rm-250, I new to two-strokes. What kind of oil should, and how much. I opened up the oil fill cap, and didn't see any oil inside.

Warm up engine/transmission and drain old oil (bottom/middle of motor). You need to put in 750ml. Opinions on oil type vary hugely.........I like Auto Transmission Fluid Type F. Dirt bike clutches/trannys are hard on oil. I change every 5-6 hours of riding time.

You need a service manual. 750ml of oil, do a search and you shall learn.

manual says 10w40....
