rm125 year lookup

I am considering buying an early 90's rm 125. The owner does not know the exact year and I can not find a resource on the web that can tell me the year model based on the serial #. Anyone know where I can go for this?
the serial # starts with JS1RF14A6

Any thoughts on early 90's rm125's welcome too.

I just got a 91 rm125. I think it is great but I have not rode anything newer. I think that is the key. I got a rad valve and an fmf pip and silencer. Starts right up. If it sets for 2-3 weeks could take a few kicks but other than that 1 or 2 kicks and I am gone. Check our www.Georgiaoffroad.com their dirt bike guide has a lot of info on all bikes.

$1000 wihch is about 2-3 hunderd less than typical for this area of the country (assuming its about a 92). I need to determine what year it is though to help me decide if it is really a good deal or not.
It would be my back up bike for when I am doing work on my main bike and to bring friends along to coax them into the sport.
Current bike is a 98 cr125

What colour are the stickers on the shrouds? If they are blue, its a 89 or older. If they aren't its a 90-92. I know this is a pretty crappy way of telling what year the bike is. Also the 89-92 have the exact same shroud/gas tank combo. And to tell you the truth, there isn't much difference between a 90-92 RM. The best thing to do, is take the serial number off the cylinder and bring it into a Suzuki shop, they could tell you for sure...

If you can get the RM for a good price I would look into it, but older RM's I have heard arnt very good, from what I have heard

Hrm, I think you might have heard wrong. Mine for example, turns like its on rails, has a top end kick that would make a new bike look bad. And its pretty darn reliable at that.....

Angst2, if you like the bike, and everything checks out pick it up. I doubt you'll regret it....
