RM250 myth or legend?

Heck, even MXA says that a stock '03 RM250 is stinkin' fast, and is close to knocking the YZ off it's throne.

My '00 YZF is one of the least reliable bikes I've owned, and you could find a paper trail or internet trail (especially on Thumper Talk) long enough to put you to sleep. Some people like their scoot enough that they don't care if they had to put in $1000 in repairs/upgrades, thinking of it as "minor character flaw" in an otherwise perfect bike.

Just want to say hey, here we have trade offs for all aspects, love all the brands, but this in my most humbling opinion is a very good dirt bike. I can afford what I want but started with KDX, then CR, and now new RM which makes daddy happy, that is me. With the kids I want to ride hard az heck, and I just think that this is a forgiving bike. There all kinds. now 4 stroke is my next curiosity when the time comes...I am doomed by saying this...
