Sweet, What bike is the silencer from?
It's a cut down FMF for a 99 KX250. We are going to get a Circle F pipe and silencer for it this summer but without the silencer, it's mega loud!
This was my son's first bike he ever bought and restored. It was also the first bike he ever raced. Him and I both did the 2nd restoration and engine overhaul. The engine has new everything including the engine bolts, (we use modern style 8mm flanged style for proper torque readings,) plus a NOS 3rd over piston and a 78 RM400 gear set. The other experiment is the YZ/TT style rear wheel. We want to see if it has any better braking ability than the stock rear. My guess is that it will be about the same but, who knows?

I just wish the suspension on it was as good as a modern bike. Too many jumps on this one sure beats the hell out of you. That's why I'm sticking to vintage friendly tracks. They make it fun like it should be. I might take it to Washougal MX in late May as they are doing a vintage friendly race and the track will be tamed down to mid 70's flair.
