I've got a guy on the line who says he can have my cylinder back to me in time for March 30th spring ride but he doesn't re-plate. Re-sleeve only. He says he can do an RM65 and includes all top end hardware in package.
Can an RM65 be re-sleeved or should I say "sleeved" safely and if so, what advantages are there to re-plating?
I'm afraid heat transfer may be an issue.
I need this bike ready to ride for Loretta's!

Replate it. Plating lasts longer and is tougher, with better heat transfer.
The cost is similar to sleeve it, turnaround will be similar, unless the plating company is extremely busy and you don't get the disadvantages of poorer heat transfer and faster wear on a sleeved top end.
