Rode my first Supermoto

My buddy traded his TRX450R fourwheeler for this 03' KTM 625. It's got 17in wheels, procircuit slip on, bigger fuel tank, a couple sprockets with it, a GPR steering stabilizer. It's a blast to ride around town. It's gear down a little now so it buzzes some at highway speeds. I put quite a few miles on it yesterday and had a grin the entire time.

Nice......I have a blast bashing around town on the DRZ! Even on knobs it's a hoot. I want to build a large bore 2 stroke SM someday.....like a KTM300 or somethin?

You wouldn't be able to ride the two stroke on the street would you? That sounds like a blast though. We're going to switch out the sprockets today and see how much that helps the comfort going down the road.

We went from a 14/42 to a 15/38. It's so much more rideable now.

I wouldn't think any dirt bike based unit would do great on the highway. I just bash around town on mine. It winds out at 65 or 70 though. Feels really sketchy at that speed....

I'm really surprised how well it does at both. It would wind out pretty bad before but now it's pretty reasonable. Doesn't feel at all scary at speed too. I've never ridden a bike with a steering stabilizer until this one so I can only assume that it is making all the difference.
