SBNF and the Pinnacles area????

Has anyone been riding up in SBNF lately? I was told the trails around the Pinnacles are open and it looks like they may get a bit of rain this week. That would make for a good ride. I was taking the family back out to Dale Evens area, but that may be off. If so, I may head up to ride Sat early. If anyone knows how the trails are please provide some feedback. I haven’t been up in over two years (due to the fires).

Also, based on the Nov D37 news letter it said the Checkpoints was going to be in USFS lands, but it looks like it will be out in the desert. I was hoping it would be in the FS trails. Does anyone know if it is up in the SBNF or the desert? I’d renew my card for a FS lands event.

Checkpoints / HBMC is in the dez - Lucerne.

Thanks for the info Eric, I was hoping the news letter wasn't wrong. It'd be nice to have an event somewhere other than the desert. I did ride the Checkpoints trail up in SBNF a few years back and it was nice wooded single track. Maybe next year if the forest continues to recover.
