(April 14, 2003) - Kawasaki Team Green Off-Road has signed motocross rider Scott Sheak to compete aboard a KX-250 in selected Off-Road events. Sheak will use the remaining part of the 2003 season to acclimate himself to Off-Road racing, and will be competing in such races as West Coast WORCS and GNCC.
Sheak began his racing career aboard a KX60 for Team Green's amateur motocross program, and continued his entire amateur motocross career with Team Green. At the end of the 1993 season, Sheak left Team Green to pursue supercross and motocross racing professionally.
In 1999, Sheak once again found himself aboard a Kawasaki, racing the KX125 on Team Pro Circuit/Kawasaki. After only a year with Pro Circuit/Kawasaki, Sheak decided to venture to Europe and try his hand at racing the World GP series. Sheak eventually made his way back to the states in late 2001 to continue his supercross and motocross efforts.
Unfortunately, race-related injuries forced him off the track, and Sheak took on a team manager role for the majority of the 2002 season. Now healthy and determined to win, Sheak returns to the Team Green program to begin what should prove to be a successful career in Off-Road racing.
