I just installed my scott's steering damper today and I had to remove my cross bar on my pro taper bars in order for it to fit. Is this going to be a problem. What do yall think.

Check out Scott's website. It will demonstrate the bend you need to place in the crossbar for the Scotts to work. The crossbar serves a purpose. To remove it, will result in a sacrifice.

YES big problem!! Bend the cross bar upwards slightly (to clear the damper) and put it back on. Check out the "Questions" tab on the Scotts site.

yes that is a problem the cross bar gives the bar strength. As Dave said bend the bar.I just did this it's not that hard. Put one end of the bar in a vise and give it a slight bend then do the other so its bowed in the middle takes a little time but keep bending till it clears.
