scrolling ebay,, why so slow lately?

hey guys,, her lately, when i look at ebay, and even this site, its hard to scroll thru the pages cause its all so slow, occationally, i got a box that pops up,, that ways,, user resource low... every thing worked fine till a few weeks ago when that blaster virus come out,, but i have windows 98 which they say dont affect my pc, and i do update my virus software....... has anyone else noticed a problem with running ebay? and what may be causeing all this,, i got some new ram, but that didnt help.
