I'm selling my 250 2-stroke and getting a 250 4-stroke. I love riding the 250 4-stroke because of the ample power with incredible handling and weight. I love how I can throw it wround. I'm 5'11 and 210 pounds. Don;t worry....i am going to re-valve the suspension for my size.

What are your thoughts? Is this a mistake?

I honestly think the 250 4-stroke is as powerful as my 250 2T. And my current bike is heavily modded.

stay with the smoker!

you WILL lose power moving to four stroke

You may not notice it right away, but when you get used to your new machine, you will be missing your old bike!

I've got a 250 2T and a 250 4T. Huge difference.

Go ahead and get the 250 4T and "throw" it around, then get back on the 2T, you will be amazed by the snappy power and how much lighter the 2T is.

ya know the wr250's have the same engine as the yz250f's right. they have been changed but it is the same for the most part.

Yes same engine and completely different gearbox. WR's are heavier too....

The top heavy feel of the 4t will never go away. Wait and see what happens at the local ama races this year.

Please don't tell me the 2-stroke is coming back! Not happenin'

I grew up on a 2-stroke and I love them, but you will not see them dominating AMA anytime soon.

Doug, I would not bet the farm. The age classes at the local level may be dominated by the big bores. But, I do know a guy who whips up on them big bores with a 250 4t, he did pick up a 144 over the winter. The pros, come on, if anybody would pay me to race a cushman, I would!

the 250T and the 250F weight is almost identical, and the 250T makes more power across the board, and makes upwards of 10 more overall. if you like the 4-stroke better fine, but it doesnt have close to as much power, and its not lighter.

the am level races will be very interesting, 250T vs 250F lmao, oh yeah and the one that makes more power costs substantially less to maintain.
