Here's the latest from the Americans for Responsible Recreational Access (ARRA) website.

Senate Bill to Overturn Ban on Youth ATVs and Dirt Bikes Introduced!
Weigh in to Have Your Voice Heard!

Youth sized ATVs and dirt bikes are still banned. We need your help to continue to build enough pressure to get the ban overturned. It is unlikely that the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) will act to approve the Motorcycle Industry Council’s petition to grant regulatory relief. This means we need Congress to act.

Senator Tester (D-MT) has introduced legislation, S. 608 that would stop the ban. Please click the Send This Message button below to urge your Senators and Members of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee to support this bill.

ARRA members have responded in huge numbers on this issue already, but it is important that you continue to have your voice heard.

hopefully, unlike in other recent issues before our legislators, common sense will prevail.

The ARRA website is great for sending emails, FAX's, etc to everyone that you need to to fight this crap. This one sends it to everyone on the committee as well as your local politicians. Once you sign up it will automatically fill in your personal information so the next time it's just a few mouse clicks and the next letter is on it's way! :)

I, being completely computer ignorant, got through their site! The president will be on line answering questions today. Boy, do I have a couple! I believe these guys from Indiana are some that sit on the fence of bills. Getting involved in politics, me, wow, never seen that coming!

IMO, we ALL had better get involved in politics or we will have no sport. What has happened in the past 10 years in regard to losing land to ride on and losing rights in general is frightening. What has happened in the last couple of months is beyond comprehension. Our sport and our rights to freedom is under attack by our own government.

The ARRA website is an excellent contact to keep in the know. It's a great way to send an email to your reps. But, a hand written letter is a much better way to impress your representatives. Have everyone in your family sit down and write a letter. This is a much better way than sending a form letter by email that can be easily deleted on the other end. Where many times they will not even bother to answer an email, they ALWAYS answer a letter.

Mass mailing campagins do work. We shot down the Flowers bill and we can stop this one if we all get involved.

If we don't get these wack-job dictators under control, buying a motorcycle for our kids will be the least of our worries.

Thanks for the link Rich.

There's a house bill that has been introduced as well. The link to send letters for that are on the ARRA site as well - http://www.mic.org/letters.cfm - look at the top under "for everybody", there's a senate and a house version to send. My 9 year old would greatly appreciate it!
