Just out of curiousity can you shift a 250F without using a clutch?? I did it several times the other day as im used to doing on my 2-strokers. Will it hurt anything? It seemed to shift really smoothe wihtout the clutch. I did it a few times in the air with no clutch and once or twice on the ground up hill.

The transmissions on 4 strokes are essentially identical to 2 strokes. The reciprocating mass of a 4 stroke is a little higher however, making it healthier to match engine speed to wheel speed more accurately if you want a long life for your tranny.
