On the passive stack on a fork, what effect does the placement of a thicker shim have on the high speed stack? I know it will be stiffer, but at what speed of the stroke? Let's say you have (from valve) a .10x22,.10x14 crossover, then .10 by 20,18,16,14,12. This is off a proaction K2 valve. Not factoring in the mid-speed valve in the cartridge, which shims have more effect on the mid-speed damping? What I'm looking for is a little more bottoming resistance without making it spike in the mid-stroke. I was thinking of changing the .10x16 and .10x14 to .15x16 and .15x14. I'm just fishing for ideas before I start testing. Thanks

It is said that a base(passive) cannot really control midspeeds very well-thats what the midvalve is for.I would increase the size of the crossover to a 16mm.
