I found a add on craigslist. And the guy said that size is just a little wider than stock. He is selling for $25 and its a brand new dunlop.should I do it?
It's too wide for a 125 and may even interfere with the swing arm. It wouldn't break loose easy enough and would bog the motor down. Would you buy a piston for a 250 just because it was a good deal?
As with a car tire.........if you mount a tire on a rim that's narrower than called for, it will cause the contact surface to be too "rounded". Resulting in less ground contact area. It may actually be skatier on anything close to hardpack. And because of the closer quarters at front of swingarm, I've seen it rip off the mudflap/shock guard.
