should i get the crf230f

i've been wanting a dirt bike for a while now and have come to the crf230f. i was wondering if it was the bike for me? i am 15, about 6' tall, 135 ibs, and have never rode a dirt bike before. but i have rode a polaris four wheeler before. i mostly want the 230 for trails and maybe some jumps. i was just wondering if it was worth buying it or not....... speaking of that, i am kinda low on cash, so is anything more affordable?

The crf250f is a great bike for your applications. But if you are low on cash then mabe look for a used Kawasaki KDX200 or 220. Also http://www.georgiaoffroad.com/forums/ has a for sale section and alot of bikes go cheap there and it is close to you.

thanks for the help, but people have been telling me to get the 230, do you really think i can handle the 250

GEORGIA_boy, you could handle a 250 but you might be better off with a 230 to start with.

They don't make a CRF250F...

A CRF250R and a CRF230F are totally different bikes, for different applications.

The 250R is a race bike.

The 230F is a trail bike.

thanks, now i guess I'll just have to find one i can afford. i checked out the website you suggested, but they didn't really have anything i was looking for. the 230 is more affordable anyway, at least brand new or barely used.
