I'd like to start off by saying that I searched this topic and came up empty handed. Maybe someone can help me here.

I have a 2004 YZ 250F. Ever since I purchased it, the lower radiator/coolant hose in front of the brake lever has always had problems getting hot by being too close to the header. It is not touching the header, but since it is so close, it tends to occasionally smoke and has become slightly melted.

For a quick remedy, I just put some aluminum foil between the hose and the header. However, now I am looking for a more permanent fix. Is this problem common and what have people done in the past to solve this?

I took a picture to show what I'm talking about but apparently you can't post images on here? Anyways, PM if you'd like it

Id use like some of the header wrap, or the silver wrap they use on turbos on the hose. That stuff works pretty well. Id replace the hose first though.
