Hei.
I just put new boyesen power reeds into my kx125 and have some probs with idle.
I put in a bit bigger pilot jet(as said in boyesen manual) and spark plug is nicely creamy now(light brown)..
When bike is on gear, then it misses some (don't know how to spell it..just goes like rrrrrrrrrrrr-n-n-rrrrrrr)when i drive longer with full throttle with 1. or 2. gear...And when clutch is on or bike is in the idle gear, then i have the same sound when i hold throttle in some points longer..if i hit throttle fully on,then the sound is nice equable..but if i hold gas on for longer time in some arbitrary point, then it gives that bad noise.
Is it caused by eroded piston?(Should be 56.5,mine is 56.2)..has only 15 hour's on it...

sounds like you need to address other points of the carb. pilot, needle, main, air screw.

There is a sticky in the jetting forum to help you out.

I have tested all needle positions...
Also tested with different main and pilot jets..
My 87' doesn't have air screw :nener:

go back to stock jetting then. Reeds will not require a jetting change

I assume you installed new gaskets on the reed block

well at this point, you either need to clean the carb out, there should be some kind of power port passage in the bowl that needs to be cleaned. If that does not help, then I would do a leak test of the motor. You may have an airleak at the crank seal or gasket.

all seals are new..no leak discovered.
Carb was pulled apart and cleaned:no change with that.
