I'm really getting sick of putting on a new back tire only to tear it up after 1 or 2 practice rides, so I'm planning to buy a spare rear wheel assembly for my '04 CRF 450.

White Brothers offers a sweet setup with Talon hubs, but it's alittle pricy at around $600, then you have to add bearings, sprocket, and rotor too. I believe I can get a stock one for around $380 from Service Honda, but I would be willing to pay more for better than stock quality(although my current has held up well).

Anyone know of other options(ie. Excel rim assembly, etc..) and where I might find the best price? I would like to get one with the interchangable hub so I could keep it for future bike upgrades.

Thanks...
David.

This is an interesting concept for wheels:

RAD Mfg

Supposed to make it easier to flip the tire without removing it from the rim. The sprocket and brake rotor carriers can be reversed. One of their distributors, SuperCharged, has been listing some RAD products on eBay.
