spark plug effects on the jetting

we got my bike back from the dealer on Friday, just in time to go riding on Saturday, but i noticed it was running a little rich.

last year we ran mainly BR8ES plugs, and the dealer had put a BR8EV in, which from my understanding is only a finer electrode.

would this have any significant effects on the jetting?

last year the bike smoked a bit while warming up, but then it quit. this year with the different plug it smoked a lot more, and had some spooge coming out the tail pipe.

Changing the plug type or heat range has zero effect on the jetting.

it just eliminates one thing that i have to worry about.
