My 79 YZ 250 fouled a plug, or I should say, I let someone ride it who rode it VERY slowly for a few hours and he fouled the plug.

The plug that is in there is an NGK B9EG. I have some Autolite 4053DP plugs that were given to me for my 01 YZ 250, but they were the wrong kind and I never got around to exchanging them. The Autolite plug is the exact same size as the fouled NGK.

Do you think I will be OK using these Autolites in my 79 YZ 250?

Thanks for the help.

Don't know about the Autolites, but i would say try a Champion N2C, or N3C.
My '79 YZ400 loves 'em!! ;)
They last 3 times longer than NGK, and seem to give it more throttle response as well.

PS: they're less expensive too! :think

Have you tried the NGK BR9ES, the resistor gives a stronger spark.
It's actually the only kind my YZ125 '79 likes.
I don't know about the Autolite, the japs seems to like jap sparkplugs better.
