I found some RC trivia on the AMA page. Looks like Budds Creek has been pretty good to him over the years and is a fitting place for him to get is 100th outdoor win.

*Ricky Carmichael has never lost an AMA Motocross overall at Budds Creek, with seven consecutive wins (14 motos entered, 12 moto wins). He also has two overall victories in the 125 class, now known as AMA Motocross Lites

*Of the 124 rounds of AMA Motocross Carmichael has raced since 1997, he has won at least one moto 108 times.

*Carmichael’s win last week gave him 99 combined AMA Motocross wins for his career. He also has 147 SX/MX wins in his career.

*Carmichael has never lost the fourth round of an AMA Motocross series in his 10-year career.

*For the eighth consecutive season, Carmichael holds the MX points lead after three rounds.

is anyone else getting tired of the gremlins commercial?
Who isn't.
I didn't think RC was gonna do it for a minute.

RC rode awesome! Will MA make a podium,I heard the live first moto feed was awesome,I have to find out why mine did not work but the direct link did!!Speeds coverage of this momentous event was commendable. The span to third was a lot,but so was RV over BT in the race on later. And I really try not watching the commercials, ughhhhh!

I can't believe there hasn't been more talk about that battle for the lead. Wow! what a great race. When RC got the pass in there was no stopping him but waiting to see how he would do it was one of the most entertaining things I've seen all year. JBS fought it the best he could. I jumped out of my chair after that pass.

Why does JBS always get some kind of stomach ache in MX?

so who else thinks he won't have any excuses not to win after ricky is done racing?
who thinks anyone will beat him?

Sure, Langston passed him, Alessi can get starts, Millsaps and Short are right up there, and Ferry practices with him all the time, but unless Stewart really slacks off because he doesn't have to beat Carmichael, those guys are really going to have to step up their game.

I'm thinking Stewart's worst enemy is his own head. Sick to your stomach.......nerves (I've been there.) Once RC is fully retired, I think Stewart will be able to better focus and be totally dominant. I think pressure plays a huge role in #7's results. James and his dad's expectations and egos are so huge, that they're often unrealistic.

I don't see anyone beating Stewart for a couple of years. He's going to have to lose a step or two, or somebody's going to have to raise his game a bunch. Villy, Townley, Millsaps, maybe even Langston or Dungey, have a shot, but they're not there yet, and Langston's getting older, too. I look for a couple of very dominant seasons from James, maybe even a perfect season or two.

i just think he's just waiting for ricky to retire. then he'll be able to win easier, although i hope to see someone step up and pressure him into mistakes. right now when he loses a moto, he always has an excuse.

He wasn't waiting for him to retire Sunday. That guy rode his arse off. And don't expect anyone to be able to pressure Stewart anytime soon. Maybe RV in a couple years...maybe.

maybe he was doing it to stop him from getting his 100th win.
All MX racers I know race to win every time. At the pro level, I'm sure it is even much more true. JS didn't slack off and let RC win his last SX and he has done everything he could to beat him every outdoor race, too....he just hasn't been good enough.

I will say this for Stewart, though: he seems to have better sense about avoiding huge crashes this year. He may not be able to beat Ricky, but at least he's not giving himself concussions riding over his head. If he can ride as fast as he is without crashing, nobody else has a chance the rest of the year or in the foreseeable future.
