Congratulations to RC for winning the AMA Supercross series. And congratulations to JS for winning the World Supercross series. Also I must congratulate CR for third place and tieing in points with JS in the AMA Supercross series.

This was the closest racing we could have hoped for, and we have all 3 riders to thank for that. Who would have imaged that the AMA Supercross series would be won by 2 points and 2nd & 3rd place would be tied for points.

Humm.. I thought the track looked like a blue-groove parking lot... they could have run a super motard setup! The flat track portion has been one of the coolest parts for a few years ... I recall LaRocco punting DV12 there :)

I thought Speed did a very good job with the live coverage. I really enjoyed it.

Short was awesome in the Lites. Milsaps was fast until he crashed, then he looked pretty lame trying to straighten his wheel by kicking at it.

I really liked the long lap times and the flat track section.

Lots of drama going into the SX Main, but the race itself was kind of predictable. Up to about lap 10 it looked like Chad was s-l-o-w-l-y reeling RC in, but then the gaps started getting bigger.

I am very happy to see RC go out on top in SX.

Seemed pretty obvious to me that James was just keeping a gap, RC was just keeping a gap and CR was pushing harder than he has all year. That's not meant to take anything away from Reed, it just looked like the front two were determined to do what it took and risk as little as possible.

Incredible season! Think of the scenarios that could have easly changed the out come... small things here and there, some large. JS finishes 1 or 2 spots better in a round, he wins, RC doesn't get his points back, RC doesn't DNF, Reed goes uninjured and therefore doesn't actually get faster (???), lol. We're just lucky to have seen this series, could it will ever be closer? Oh and props to Reed for FINALLY saying the right thing on the podium (though he did of course bag on Tedesco again in the press conference, lol)

Bring on the Nationals! There could be 4-5 guys running up front!

I just watched it and thought the same thing, it was almost too flat and hard for a SX.

It looked like they were riding a nice Shady Grove.... just without the Mad Max trackside dangers. LOL

DRATS! The one race I made sure to NOT find out the results before watching & my DVR stopped recording on lap 10 or 11! With my 11 y.o. a dedicated CR fanatic and my 14 y.o. a RC devotee, our living room was a noisy place. I guess I'm happy that nothing suprising seemed to happen in the second half of the race.

My hat is off to all three riders for the great show they put on this year! Great determination by all!

Now, let see who's got it outdoors. :ride:

That quad was amazing! Those guys were airing it out through there. The flattrack section was really cool, too. Any word of what happened to Gossler?

I heard them say that Gosselaer broke his leg. Sounds like the outdoor season will be a wash for him.

My DVR also stopped recording on lap 10 too. Bummer, but it sounds like the race was pretty noneventful after the 1st 10 laps.

Too bad (1) Villopoto crashed and (2) Millsaps & Short didn't battle for longer...I also was impressed with Alessi's finish.

they said Goose himself thought his lower leg was broken when he got up, but never heard any medical opinion. Didn't seem like all that tough of a track but it took out a few fast guys. Thought Reed was gonna make it interesting there for a few, he did throw down a faster lap than RC but couldn't keep it up. He started having some bobbles at that speed and it was over.

it would have been an amazing race if reed didnt get so bad of a start. i wish him and rc were 2 and 3 off the start
Out of the first turn they were 4 and 6. Reed was in 3rd by the end of lap 2 after KW waved him by and only a 2-3 seconds down. He had 12 laps to make up ground before the lappers came into play. RC rode hard enough to keep the gap. When Reed closed the gap RC opened it back up a little.

What would have been a good race is for Reed to have gotten the holeshot with RC in 3rd and JBS in 7th. Then we'd have seen some racin'.

Reed seems to have the opposite strategy than RC, Reed does his protect mode at the beginning of the season and then tries to push it near the end of the series.

Did McDonalds sponsor those speedbumps- I mean whoops? It seemed to me the track was made safe so the the 3 top guys wouldn't crash out due to too technical of a track.Anybody of the same opinion?

Hmmm, seems like a lot of DVRs stopped recording.. Wonder if they have some way to shut DVRs off on live events when they want to?

The track bit a few fast guys, Langston, Milsaps, Byrne, Millsaps, Gooselaar, Tedesco, Wey, all of them went down and some of them got hurt. It didn't bite the top 3 guys but it easily could have if they needed to fight for it instead of just holding the gaps. Reed had to back it down after some bobbles. The second half of the race they were all in their comfort zones it seemed to me.
