Does anyone know if there is a way to identify fork springs. I.E. figuring out if they are stock or aftermarket, and if they are aftermarket what rate they are. The bike in question here is an XR 600. Thanks.

Try this for spring rate I.D.
Usually after market springs have the rate etched into the end of them
