will the engine on my 1981 ts185 be able to handle a bigger sprokete then the normal one and will it give me more tourque and how big is the biggest one you can put one it
thx
The only things that change when you start fooling around with sprockets will be your maximum speed and where the powerband hits while you are climbing some nasty uphill.
On my '81' Rm 250 I use a 12 tooth on the front and a 52 tooth on the back riding tight woods and I still want more grunt on uphills.
Try Sprocket Specialists, they carry a ton of old school stuff.
If you go with some "dinner plate" rear sprocket remember you might have to modify the chain guide so it doesn't die a premature death.
