Stock Jetting for 2003 YZ250

Can someone tell me what the stock jetting is for a 2003 YZ250. I am getting different settings from different sites. Mainly the clip position is in question. Is it 2 or 3 from the top? What main...178 Pilot 50?

I am trying to compair this to the way I have my 2000 jetted. My jetting seems to be perfect on the '00 and I am thinking that if I set the '03 to the same jetting it would be pretty close.

Anyone see any problems with this? Are the engines much different so that they require much different jetting? I know that every bike reacts different to jetting but I thought this may be a good place to start.

my 04 was jetted 178mj, 50pj, & #2 on the needle.
I also went to the same spec as my 00: 175, 48, #2
Are you having a problem with the 03?

My 03 stock was 178 main 50 pilot needle in the third position.I went to a 180 main and a 52 pilot because I was having a problem with ping.I use pump gas and ride in the sand alot.If you run race gas or ride a lot of hard pack the stock jetting is very close.

Thanks for the replys. No problems with the '03 except it was a tad on the rich side. I am just going to go with a smaller main (175 or 172) and a 48 Pilot jet. I actually had to move the clip on my '00 to the third position today because of pinging in the thick sand.

The stock jetting is pretty close. I am running 178 mj, 50 pj & #2. I have tried the 175 mj & 48 pj and it worked pretty well for the woods but would ping in the fast sandy sections.

FMF recomends #3 but mine seems better on #2 for trail riding.

Quite a few of us have had trouble with the float height being off.
