I'm replacing the top end on my 91 KTM 500 and I've decided to replace the reeds as well. I bought a set of Boysen Power Reeds to replace the stock reeds. The stock reed cage as a single carbon fiber reed on the bottom and a metal plate with an outward arch on top. The Boysen reeds have two carbon fiber plates. Do I put both carbon fiber Boysen reeds and the stock metal reed plate on the reed cage, or do I discard the stock metal reed plate and use only the 2 carbon fiber Boysen plates?
