I would check out Canadian Dave’s JustKDX forum for your answer.

It should be fairly simple. Do you already have a hdraulic switch on your rear master cylinder? All you should need is a power source (DC) and a few feet of wire and you are good to go. I don't think the KDX has a battery, does it? It does have a headlight, so you should be able to find DC somewhere on the bike.
