i was thinking about stroking my 06 yz250 but i cant find a rod kit that is specifically for my bike. i already have it bored so the next this is to stroke it. any suggestions??

With the YZ you have to weld the bottom of the exhaust to prevent the piston from uncovering the bottom of the exhaust port at TDC. You also have to bore the crankcases to clear the rod and cut the head deeper. I wouldn't waste the money stroking this model, boring makes a much bigger difference because the cylinder and head offer more control over tuning factors. Possible sizes for this model are 265, 275, & 285. I've tried them all, 265 is most reliable.

I'm still waiting for my 2-stroke guy to get my head done. It's been 3 weeks now & i'm getting sick of riding my 4-stroke. I want my ring ding back.

the difference between a 265,275,285 bike is the size of the piston, right. wisco makes a piston for the 265, maxpower has the pistons for the 285 where to fined the piston for the 275??
