Any major differences or advantages in using either Maxima Super M or Maxima racing castor 927 2-cycle oils? Is it OK to mix the two types? Which offers the better protection for hard woods riding? Any recommendations for other brands of 2-cycle oil? Thanks for the advice in advance.

yzstan--I'll be nice, before this thread gets locked. Do a search. Those 2 oils only have the same manufacturer in common. One is a full synthetic built from olefin polymers while the other is castor oil based. There's benefits and risks of BOTH, and you have to choose what's best for your application...which includes motor, riding style, premix %, plug type, etc...

Your best bet would be to look up the multitude of posts on this, read for about 2 or 3 hours, and you'll have your answer.

Super M burns much cleaner than 927 which means less carbon build up in your engine. I run Hare Scrambles and use Super M. No problems yet.

Along with all the oil threads on DRN, Maxima has very good information on their website that can help you decide on the best oil for your application.
