I have a 2004 YZ250 that i am turning into a harescramble/singletrack bike. Im finding the suspension to be alittle rough on low speed roots, ruts, and such. I know a full reworking of the shock and forks are what need to be done, but I am looking for some cheaper solutions untill I can put the money down for that.

I have read things about different weight oil, and lower the oil level. Also, would changing the spring rates be of help? If so where could I find out what springs I would need for my weight and application.

Thanks for any help!

If you want to be really happy with your suspenion you should save your money and time and have them done by a pro. The difference will blow you away. MX Tech did mine.
